Saturday, August 9, 2014 – Tre is a young male Malinois who was discovered on the side of a road after being hit by a vehicle. He suffered from a crushed larynx and wounds to the front leg that required amputation. He has recovered well under the care of foster mom Michele Gihring, and now the perfect forever home has been found for Tre in Florida.

Saturday morning and he begins his trip bright and early, outfitted in his special harness to keep pressure off his healing larynx. He rides wonderfully well and enjoys all his special angels that have volunteered to get him to his forever family.

Thank you to his ABMR Coordinator LeeAnn Doyle, foster mom Michelle Gihring, transporters Tracy Strain, Bob Alspaugh, Tim Hebert, Stephanie Pruitt, Troi-Marie Higgins and Michelle Champagne. And congratulations to his new family, John and Andrea Flynn, who met him in Pensacola, overnighted and then returned home to southern Florida on Sunday.

It appears that Tre immensely enjoyed his ride and appreciated the attention he received from all the wonderful drivers. And from these pictures below – he certainly seems to be fitting right in and enjoying his new home.

He has come a long way from the broken boy laying alongside the road… you all have made it possible for him to recover and start a new life. The loss of that leg definitely has not slowed him down and he fulfills all our wishes for a happy, healthy life!!!
